Loving HimI would like to share with you my personal testimony. I love the Lord Jesus with all my heart and would like to share Him with other believers. I have been a Christian for 28 years. I was born of God when I was in high school at 16 years of age. January 1st, 1971 was the day that Jesus Christ the Son of God entered into me. I consecrated my life to Him, realizing He had loved me and died for me, giving me eternal life, something which I did not deserve or was worthy of. As years went by in my Christian life, there were many hills and valleys - times of enjoying the Lord in the fullest way and other times of seeking Him in desperate hours of need. I began seeking for a place to meet with other Christian believers that loved the Lord. My family and I had attended many different denominations over a five year period until one day we were invited to attend some church meetings with Christians who also loved the Lord Jesus. I attended their gatherings full of skepticism but found a group of people that lived a life that I had read about in the Bible, one that I had dreamed of living myself but found no way to do so. This was like a new beginning in my Christian life. I began to read the Bible and pray in a fresh new way. The Word of God became the living word to me. Every time I met with the local church I was drawn more and more to Christ as a wonderful Person and not just as a religion. I had realized that although I was a Christian I was still living a life under man's religious laws. I realized that I was a living member in the Body of Christ. I now understood that God had a purpose in His heart when He created Man. My Christian life began to have meaning and purpose. This wonderful person is more and more precious to me every day. The more I contact Him in prayer, read His word and fellowship with other members of Christ, the more I love Him. I can love Him only because He loved me. My three children also received this wonderful Christ and were raised meeting with the local churches. I have a grandson of four years that I believe someday will also give his life to our Lord Jesus. I daily praise Him for all He is to me. He is my everything! After all these years, I'm still loving Him. Patty Sisson | Back to List |
